“And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. Romans 8:30-31
Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”
If God had not chosen me, I cannot conceive of any self-concocted plan that would have secured my understanding and love for God.
I am certain that every person at one time or another is inspired by the Spirit to turn their hearts towards the Living God. It was me that rejected that initial stirring, but God didn’t give up on me. He was the pursuer, and I was the chased. In time I slowed down to catch my breath, and I found myself face to face with the Living God, the Judge of the whole earth.
I am not so much focused on whether God chooses some and rejects others. I am convinced that we all have an internal compass, but how many seek true north when they are desperately lost in the darkness of a dense world.
