The Song of Solomon
I have found the Song of Songs to be the most captivating and honest love story I have read. Here comes a story of unabashed honesty about God’s gift of unadulterated love and sexual intimacy. And to think it all began in the garden of Eden.
You can read it as poetry and miss the message of God’s ultimate plan for the sanctity of marriage. While two people bound together in marriage will never reach perfection and live without conflict, this song is a continuous reminder of love in its most vulnerable and intimate beginning. We need these memories to revisit our early beginnings and rekindle love and affective.
Without question we live in a stress filled world, much different from our early days of romance and courtship. I believe one of the reasons God gave us this stirring song is to remember the garden; remember our love story.
The years have raced by; these years are a small part of my eternal future. My many memories are like lines of poetry that tell me God created me out of love, to love.
