Any Regrets?

If you could live your life over, what changes would you make? No, I am not going to dredge up our past mistakes, as we would all be overwhelmed. Ecclesiastics describes life as fleeting and portrays the whole of life as vanity. The following question stops me in my tracks. “What if you woke up today with only the things that you thanked God for yesterday?“ Anonymous
Considering yesterday‘s thankful thoughts, I would be both rich and poor. I would be poor because I forgot to thank God for my material blessings. I would be rich because I thanked Him for my children, grandchildren and many friends. If we believe in heaven and eternity is a future hope, then all your accumulation of material things will be of no value at the end of life. You will have no regrets if in the end you are surrounded by those you love.
Some advice from one who has faced regrets and has made many course corrections over the years. Live your life in such a manner that your family and friends look forward to being with you. My wife Trisha is Nona to our grandchildren, and they know they are the most significant people on the earth. It’s not too late to change and discover new adventures. Begin now, begin with small steps, but definitely begin.
Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 sums up my thoughts “there is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God, for apart from Him who can eat or who can have enjoyment?“
What will you thank God for tomorrow?
