Truth vs Relativism

John 8:32, “…and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”.
There is great freedom when one is walking in the truth. First, the very idea of walking in truth presupposes that one would not want to offend God, by walking in a known area of untruth.
Moral authority has its birthplace in the womb of truth, which is why truth is alive, with the capacity to set us free. All authority breaks down, when descending morals create the impetus to live under the bondage of sin. When truth is set aside, living a lie is more convenient than walking in the truth, then a position of relativism takes the place of truth in the life of the individual.
That is why the truth is all important to any society, because an absence of truth is a denial of God’s presence.
It is our duty, as pursuers of God’s truth and His presence, to walk in faith, walk in truth, and walk in a way that invites God to journey with us. Real freedom makes life a liberating journey.
