Alone Yet Not Alone

We are all pressed to change the way we live our daily lives in the face of our present crisis. There is one thing that cannot change. God said,
“For I [am] the LORD, I do not change...” Malachi 3:6
We must hold on to God, who cannot change, as our present circumstances involve continual change. Fear is a genuine part of our current condition as we face the uncertainty of new and pressing challenges.
I have faced overwhelming challenges, where I took my eyes off God, and fear would grip ahold of me. I have learned that when I face my fears and refuse to submit to them, it allows me to stay connected to God. I stay in the Word and make sure that the Word is in me.
I remind myself of this verse when facing fear. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and of a sound mind.” - 2 Timothy 1:7
Whether you are with your family or living alone, practice God’s presence by praying and reading the Word of God, alone and together. At this moment in history, we must cast ourselves upon the kindness and goodness of God, trusting that His all-sufficient grace will sustain us. As we pray together, hear the Word of the LORD. “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32: 27
Also, remember what Jesus promised us. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27
