We Must THINK God

Being thankful is one of the most liberating things I have ever experienced; it has freed me from preoccupation with self. Instead of focusing on disappointments and suffering that we have all experienced, I reflect on the good that has come out of my pain.
To THANK GOD, I must first THINK GOD. I must choose to prioritize God in my thoughts. If I treat Him like a life preserver in the boat for emergencies, it may be some time before we connect. It may even be awkward approaching Him only when I am in trouble.
I have the habit of THINKING GOD when I first awake in the morning and rehearse His goodness throughout my day. Even when having a tough day, I can end my day with gratitude because I began it with great thoughts of my faithful Creator.
THINKING God has produced in me a consciousness of His nearness. I see His handiwork in people and the ordinary things throughout each day. Cultivating a heart of thankfulness has been my most liberating experience.
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13:15
Think God.
