I Was A Small Piece

I knew that I wasn’t a big piece in God’s puzzle. It defied man’s most sensible reason when the Holy Spirit began calling me to ministry. I had no formal education, no Bible college or seminary, and no experience. I embodied and lived Paul’s words to the church.
1 Corinthians 1:26-27 NLT
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world's eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. [27] Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.
There I was, a very small commonplace piece of the puzzle, and its color made it difficult to match with the thousands of multicolored pieces strewed about.
The Spirit began surrounding me with gifted and talented people. I became one of a myriad of colorful pieces in this puzzle of life, all fitting together to edify and build up the body.
As the scene of the church unfolded before us, the center portion of the puzzle came alive. It was never about us, no matter how colorful we were, it was Christ the head of the church that dominated the whole scene in the most dramatic, yet beautiful way.
As you study the finished work before us, it becomes abundantly clear, “He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30 ESV
