Through these many years I have refused to be idle and have thoroughly enjoyed a variety of interests. My most recent endeavors have included watercolor art and a foray into fermenting foods and the culinary arts. A quote by an unknown author reveals why I like to stay busy; “Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.”
In 4life Kitchen, discover how fermented fruits & vegetables pack tons of probiotics into your body. Also encounter ancient grains that are making a comeback in the world’s best homemade bread. Whether it’s sauerkraut or fermented carrots to boost your immune system, or a sip of limoncello for an after dinner digestive, your kitchen will come alive with creativity and healthy foods. Fresh garden peppers grilled to perfection and many other recipes will delight your palette.
From their earliest years, I read to our children. While they will never forget the classics, such as The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis, I think what they loved and will remember most was listening to the stories of my childhood. The memories I passed onto them of growing up on a small farm in Michigan, for them, I became The Storyteller. As my children grew and had their children, my wife Trish inspired me to not only put my stories into books, but also to illustrate them for future generations to come. I showcase my watercolor paintings through my studio, 4life Creations Art.
